Although based in Kuala Lumpur, the World Islamic Economic Forum (WIEF) Foundation has extended its limbs across the globe organising WIEF annually since it was established in March of 2005. The Foundation has organised its world class business platform in various cities such as Kuala Lumpur – where it started – then Islamabad, Kuwait City, Jakarta, Astana, Johor Bahru, Dubai and London– which was the first time this Forum has been held outside of the Muslim world.

WIEF has successfully attracted thousands of small to medium businesses from all over the world because it promotes opportunities for collaborations that encourage economic development and build firm bridges that bring together Muslim and non-Muslim communities through trade.  Stealthily, the Foundation pledges to continue to develop programmes and organise WIEF annually where world leaders, captains of industry and economy-shapers from over 100 countries congregate annually to create trade opportunities and business partnerships in the Muslim world and beyond.
