The World Islamic Economic Forum Foundation is a Kuala Lumpur based organisation was formally established on the 6th March 2006. The Foundation organises a world-class business platform which congregates world leaders and top CEOs during its annual event to discuss opportunities for business partnerships in the Muslim world and beyond.
Aims to “Build Bridges through Business”, the WIEF has been hosted annually since 2005 in several countries, started with its inaugural Forum in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, followed by the second Forum in Islamabad, Pakistan in 2006, Kuala Lumpur (2007), Kuwait City, Kuwait (2008), Jakarta, Indonesia (2009), Kuala Lumpur (2010), Astana, Kazakhstan (2011), Johor Bahru (2012), London (2013) which was the first time this Forum has been held outside of the Muslim world and last year in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (2014).
This Forum has successfully attracted thousands of small and medium business from all over the world, which the WIEF wishes to bring together Muslim and non-Muslim communities through business to promote opportunities for collaboration for social and economic progress. As for recent Forum in Dubai last year, the number of participation has increased to 3,150 delegates from over 128 countries.
