Online

“Technology trust is a good thing, but control is a better one.”

― Stephane Nappo

Cybersecurity, the practice of protecting systems, networks, and programs from digital attacks is imperative as increasing number of people and organisations are going online.  In today’s computerized world where the number of devices is more than people, making them safe and secured are more challenging as attackers, hackers have become innovative and creative.

In the wake of Covid-19 pandemic crisis, there has been an upsurge in the use of online and digital tools, primarily to support communication and online trade. This creates new opportunities for malicious actors to take advantage of the disruptive effects of the crisis and target businesses, especially MSMEs as they are an easy target due to lack of resources to implement comprehensive cyber security solutions.

It is apt for MSMEs to understand and appreciate the information they have, where it is, and how valuable it is, and then, establish policies and securing suitable IT infrastructure for protection to ensure business continuity, protect employees and continue to serve customers.

The 10th WIEF Global Discourse will discuss the importance of securing IT infrastructure and data; the existing state and the future of cybersecurity in consequence giving options of solutions to overcome the threats, giving awareness and educate small businesses on steps to undertake to protect themselves.

It will also provide a platform to exchange information, sharing of useful insights between industry leaders, experts in related fields and entrepreneurs, and bring forth an interactive discussion with the presenters.

2.30 PM Panel Discussion on Cybersecurity For Micro Small & Medium Enteprises
